Helen Tuxhorn Evans Endowed Scholarship

The daughters of Helen Tuxhorn Evans established the Helen Tuxhorn Evans Endowed Scholarship Fund in 1988 as a living memorial to their mother.

Mrs. Evans was a 1938 graduate of the Mennonite Hospital School of Nursing (now Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University).

This scholarship was established to help eliminate financial disability as a barrier in determining one’s enrollment at Mennonite College of Nursing, to affirm the belief in the distinct value of (Christian) higher education, and to promote academic excellence in the program.
