Jenny Lu Etcheson Endowed Scholarship
The Jenny Lu Etcheson Endowed Scholarship Fund was established in 1995 by Jerry Etcheson as a living memorial to his wife, Jenny. Jenny Lu Etcheson graduated Summa Cum Laude from Mennonite College of Nursing with the Class of 1991. She was killed tragically in an automobile accident in the spring of 1995.
As a BroMenn Home Health/Hospice nurse, Jenny was loved by patients and staff alike. Her patients included the terminally ill. She was described as an extremely dedicated nurse, and she was excellent with addressing issues surrounding death and always provided passionate care.
The purpose of the Jenny Lu Etcheson Scholarship Fund is to assist students who have had previous health-related work experience return to college to further their nursing education.
