Transfer students at Mennonite College of Nursing’s Springfield location follow our Transfer BSN Plan of Study while being immersed in Memorial Health's hospital network.
Students develop their skills inside a state-of-the-art simulation lab and receive clinical placements tied to coursework across five different hospital settings. MCN Springfield students will also have opportunities for paid employment as a student, additional clinicals and internships, full-time job placement following the completion of their degree, and scholarship money to assist them in their education.

Memorial Health offers students part-time work opportunities as a patient care technician. You can work as much or as little as you want. Additionally, students who complete the program are well prepared for work in the Memorial Health system and are actively pursued for full-time employment post-graduation.

Clinicals within a single hospital system
Students will do their clinicals at select locations within one large teaching hospital system, which allows for mentorship from preceptors and working within one charting system so that students can stay focused on patient care.

State-of-the-art simulation lab
Students complete their simulation labs within the Memorial Health Learning Center. The Simulation Center within Memorial Health Learning Center features 10 unique simulated learning environments in 16,000 square feet on the third floor of the MLC. The space includes a nurse’s station, patient room, operating room, office and an exam room modeled after Memorial Care primary care and urgent care rooms.
