How to Apply
Step 1: Complete an online application
Applicants can fill out an online application at https://illinoisstate.edu/apply/graduate/
Apply in GradCas. Search for Post-Bachelor's School Nurse Graduate Certificate. All materials will be submitted as part of your GradCAS application. Make sure you have the following materials ready to upload to your application.
- Unofficial transcripts from all schools of higher education attended, other than ISU. Official transcripts will be required if accepted to the certificate program.
- Current resume
- Copy of RN license, as evidence of RN licensure in Illinois
Step 2: Submit reference
- One professional reference: must be from the principal or assistant principal of the school in which you serve as a school nurse or from the Nurse Manager in the district where you work. The form linked below will be available to your reference to submit electronically through the online application.
When are decision made?
Applications received by the priority deadline of March 1st will be pooled and reviewed. Admission status will be communicated by late March/early April. Applications submitted after priority filing will be reviewed on a rolling basis until target enrollment has been met.
