Biography
Jung Eun Kim received her PhD from Azusa Pacific University, California, USA. She studied for MSN and BSN degrees at Ewha Women's University, Seoul, South Korea. She has worked as a registered nurse in diverse areas, including Med-Surg units, home health care, long-term care settings, and community-based health facilities in the United States. She is a member of International Sigma Nursing, the Midwest Nursing Research Society, the National League for Nursing, the Gerontological Society of America, the American Association of College of Nursing, and the Global Korean Nursing Foundation-USA.

Teaching Interests & Areas
She has been teaching Introduction to Nursing Research, Community/Public Health nursing, Adult Nursing, Data Management and Analysis, and Evidence-based Nursing and Nursing Leadership to undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
Research Interests & Areas
Her research interest is self-care and health promotion among vulnerable populations, including patients with chronic diseases and ethnic minority older patients. Particularly, she is interested in related factors affecting self-care behaviors among older patients with diabetes and using diverse statistical methods.
