Biography

Dr. Janet LoVerde is an Assistant Professor of Nursing at Mennonite College of Nursing, Illinois State University. Dr. LoVerde holds a bachelor's and master's degree in nursing from Saint Xavier University in Chicago, IL and a doctorate from Illinois State University.

Teaching Interests & Areas

Dr. LoVerde currently teaches Pathophysiology and Pharmacotherapeutics Nursing II to prelicensure nursing students. She has also taught Pathophysiology and Pharmacotherapeutics Nursing I and II in Mennonite College of Nursing's RN to BSN completion program. Dr. LoVerde has experience teaching Community and Public Health in baccalaureate and RN to BSN programs and Nursing Theory, Evidence-based Practice, Health Policy, and Leadership in and RN to BSN program.

Research Interests & Areas

My research interest is nursing education and transfer of education to practice. I am also interested in retention and engagement of medical-surgical nurses.
