Jung Eun Kim received her PhD from Azusa Pacific University, California, USA. She studied at Ewha Women University, South Korea, Seoul, for MSN and BSN degrees. She has worked as a registered nurse in diverse areas, including Med-Surg units, home health care, long-term care settings, and community-based health facilities in the United States. She is a member of International Sigma Nursing, the Midwest Nursing Research Society, the National League for Nursing, and the Global Korean Nursing Foundation-USA.
She has been teaching Introduction to Nursing Research, Community/Public Health nursing, Adult Nursing, Data Management and Analysis, and Evidence-based Nursing and Nursing Leadership to undergraduate and graduate nursing students.
Her research interest is self-care and health promotion among vulnerable populations, including patients with chronic diseases and ethnic minority older patients. Particularly, she is interested in related factors affecting self-care behaviors among older patients with diabetes and using diverse statistical methods.
