Richard and Julia Johnson Endowed Scholarship

The Richard and Julia Johnson Scholarship was established in 2000 by the Johnson’s through the Illinois State University Foundation.

Richard and Julia Johnson are long-time residents of Bloomington-Normal and are both committed to improving the quality of life in their community.

Mr. Johnson is a former member of the Mennonite College of Nursing Board of Trustees, serving in that capacity for nine years. He and Julia have a strong belief that education is the answer to poverty, and that access to education creates opportunity for individual and societal advancement. To that end, this fund provides opportunity to pursue nursing education as a means to achieving a professional rank with status, prestige, stability, and service to others.
