Dean’s Endowed Scholarship

This permanently endowed scholarship fund was established in 2006 by Dean Nancy Ridenour to provide resources to attract outstanding undergraduate and graduate students to Mennonite College of Nursing at Illinois State University. The Dean’s Scholarship is among the highest awards a student may receive while pursuing a degree. Dean Ridenour was the first dean of Mennonite College of Nursing upon arrival at Illinois State University in 1999.

The purpose of the Dean’s Endowed Scholarship Fund is to provide scholarships and fellowships that enable outstanding undergraduate and graduate nursing students to complete their nursing education. Both students of Mennonite College of Nursing and Mennonite College of Nursing faculty pursuing doctoral degrees at Mennonite College of Nursing or other institutions are eligible for this award. The Dean’s Scholarship is meant to exemplify the dean’s commitment to the support of the education of the best students and faculty.

The Dean’s Endowed Scholarship is funded by gifts made to the College of Nursing by Dean Ridenour, attendees of College of Nursing events held to celebrate Illinois State University’s 150th anniversary, and other gifts to the College, as appropriate.
