MCN Summer Research Fellowship
The MCN Summer Research Fellowship offers faculty salary support during the summer. The purpose is to encourage a faculty member to dedicate time for a specific research activity. All tenure-track faculty members are eligible unless:
- an MCN Summer Research Fellowship was received the previous summer,
- if the faculty member’s time is already research grant funded, or
- the faculty member did not complete a previous MCN Summer Research Fellowship proposal according to the timeline.
The funding amount is $4500.
Requirements
- Identify a specific research objective. Examples might include manuscript(s) development and submission or external grant development and submission.
- Develop a rationale and timeline for the research objective. Objective must be completed prior to the beginning of fall semester.
- Develop a short proposal that includes research objective, rationale, timeline, and deliverable by August 15, 2021.
- Submit proposal to the Associate Dean for Research by March 16, 2021.
Proposal Review
- The Associate Dean for Research will review proposal.
- The Associate Dean for Research will make a funding recommendation to the Dean’s Council.
- The Associate Dean for Research will notify faculty member regarding proposal funding by April 1, 2021.
