Kim Buck joined Mennonite College of Nursing as an instructional assistant professor. Buck received her M.S.N. from University of Illinois-Chicago, her B.S.N. from Graceland College School of Nursing, and her diploma in nursing from Parkland College. She is a certified gerontological nurse practitioner and is Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified. Buck is pursuing a doctoral degree, and her research interest is decreasing pain in nursing home residents. She taught parttime at Parkland College for the last 13 years and part-time at MCN and Heartland Community College for the last several years. She was the assistant director of nurses and care plan coordinator at LeRoy Manor and was a critical care nurse at Advocate BroMenn Medical Center.
